Overview
This proposal must ideally result in the consideration of preventive action against politicians (no exceptions for anyone) who contest from multiple seats at the same time in a single Lok Sabha or Vidhan Sabha election. If such candidates really have the calibre, they can stay in one constituency only. This is intended to prevent unnecessary expenditure on wasteful by-elections.
